don’t think i can deal with much more sad stuff.
we move out of our little apartment tomorrow. into a house. lists and lists of things to do. all i’m hoping for right now is that i get a chance to do them all. see y’all…

no updates lately… everything is up in the air and the warlord stress has taken emminent domain over my stomach and sleeping schedules. i’ll be back to my usual slappy-go-lucky self soon enough, i’m sure.

take it easy out there…
if anyone in this community ever deserved a blog, it’s the famously verbose Robert. welcome aboard, sailor.
jack had his first exposure to snow this weekend and he loved it! it was really funny, him running around like a maniac, eating snow, catching snowballs, going crazy. i was going to grab the bike for a quick schlosh in the slush, but never got around to it. hopefully we get some serious inches in march like we did last year for an awesome ride at Schaffer.

1. What do you have your browser start page set to?
work: my lycos page. i’ve been meaning to switch it over to either mywashingtonpost or yahoo. but i’m far too lazy to update the portfolio on either.

the morning news, metafilter, sonicnet, washingtonpost
3. Favorite search engine?.
google, easy.
4. When did you first get online?
1997. with purchase of my first machine, an Apple Performa 2400 (a speedy 25mHz!!). i slowly realized that i had a ‘modem’ in this box. and an Earthlink cd with a free month. hmmm… 2+2=hooked.
5. How do you plan to spend your weekend?
more packing, maybe an excursion to polyesters on sat nite?
Lyme disease reports hit new high
i had the briefest delusion last nite that “hey, i don’t need a ride home! i’ll just bring the bike in to work when kristy drops me off and i can ride home!” then i realized that it’s winter, 6:00 pm is dark, cold and miserable. oh yeah… and i’m waaaaay to far out of shape to ride my heavy freeridish hardtail 12 miles on pavement.
thanks goes out to scott from the Overpriviledged. one of the bands dropped out of our show in baltimore feb 15th. i was asking around to see if anyone could fill in, and while scott said the OP already had a show that day, he sent me his huge excel file of contacts to dig thru! we sent a bunch of emails out and got a fast response from a band called Tied In Knots. very cool.
check out Music4Autobahns for some really nice video interviews with fugazi, alkaline trio, rival schools, and more.
good news from buddyhead, Adam Pfahler (ex-jawbreaker) wrote in his latest newsletter:
“Lastly, I just negotiated getting Dear You back. It’s anyone’s guess how long all the paperwork will take, but it will be on Blackball Records and come with an extra track on an enhanced CD with a video. “
very nice.
in other not-so-good news, the crappy ass maryland drivers finally got to kristy. she rearended the car in front of her because the lead car had come to a complete STOP on a highway entrance ramp!!!! everyone was fine, minimal damage all around, but lola the corolla has to spend some time in the body shop. anybody want to drive me home on friday? i promise not to stink up the car, really.
