wow, the WRENCH PILOT archives. i’d forgotten all about these old skate cartoons from transworld magazine. [via: neckdeep]

we’re under about 6″ of fresh powder, work’s closed and i’m done. nothing like a three day weekend to celebrate my new job! we’re staying in and cleaning the house, no complaints here.
finished up some work for ryan’s label’s latest release. we met up last week and he dropped some of the booty on me. not his booty, lyrical prophets booty.

check out that lunchbox. fab fly.
i’ve been emailing back and forth with one of the guys who works with ex-jawboxer bill barbot at three spot media. he let me know that bill finally got around to digitizing all the jawbox videos, they’re available on the desoto site.
okay, i gotta go do some mopping. more later.
looks like i forgot my own birthday. egoinc turned two years old on Feb 22nd. 3 content management services, 5 designs, 714 entries, 771 comments later, here we are.
thanks for coming by, and for paying attention.
geek proof positive: February 22, 2001
tying in with chris’ rant about the leeches at gravityteen.com, i’m still amazed at how these massive corporations are using skateboarding as a marketing tool. i know i’m gonna sound like a cranky old man here, but i got my ass kicked way too many times for riding a skateboard to let this corporate whoring pass without a blink. watching the tube this morning i saw a cereal commercial that bounced thru some quick cuts at a skatepark somewhere and tagged: “A day without corn pops is like a day without a skateboard”. what the hell does that even mean?
along the same lines, go chuckle at the morning news’ expose: Behind the Scenes: Cool 2B Real
resigning in style: i laughed a bit harder at this because of my current situation.
wicked fun snowboarding. i did pretty well… cruising down the intermediate slope without falling by the 12th run. damn, i’m sore today.
reviewing the streets and the new david gray for ADDreviews
got an email from amanda mackaye on friday in reference to the DCB show list. i’m fully aware that i’m the geekiest of the geeks for getting all excited about this. you’re s’posed to play it cool right? no way, i ran downstairs giddy as a schoolgirl to tell kristy. she says, “who?”. “Amanda MacKaye, Ian’s sister…”. she wasn’t nearly as impressed as i was. eh.
death toll is up to 65 at that great white show in rhode island. damn. i’ve heard unconfirmed reports that their guitarist is ‘missing’. i don’t think that’s the ‘fled to mexico’ kind of missing, either.
going snowboarding for the first time this weekend. up to ski liberty in PA. should be interesting.
one more week of old job, one more week ’till new job!
dropping the 2-week-notice bomb on the bosses went really well. surprisingly well. not that i anticipated fisticuffs or anything, but… you know.
so i’m bustin’ my rear to get most of my projects finished up before march 3rd. i’m really friggin excited to start at the new place.
alex posted this link: Sigur Rós Release Score to Icelandic Film which is some cool news. one thing you can never call those icelandic oompaloopas is cheap, so i’m guessing the CD will be $30 or more. ouch.
elmer thinks that we should start racing pocket bikes. there’s even a local club. 50 mph 3 inches off the ground. yikes, sounds like my kinda sport!
