2 pix and some ketchup

a lil cold knocked me on my ass friday and saturday. i blame this bizarre weather, it’s a 75 degree october!! felt better today so i took the GS out to play on some backroads around antioch. saw this giant green bulbous structure on top of a mountain and decided that i’d find it. got as close as i could on the bike, hiked the rest of the way up. turns out it’s a giant FAA radar control tower. didn’t have the camera with me, but the hilltop provided some cool views. i was half expecting the black helicopters to usher me off to some terrorist shakedown camp.

last weekend, exploring northwestern VA. kristy, jack and i found the woodstock, VA firetower, although we were kneedeep in fog and had about a 10 foot viewing radius. still pretty cool.

my wife’s pumpkin-carving skills are unparalleled.

spammers

man, i just spent 20 minutes de-spamming the comments. makes me wonder what i’m going to do with this place.
the DCSTREET crew had a crazy good street ride last night, ended up in adams morgan watching a cop yank some idiot out of an H2, cuffed n stuffed. lots of fun at the ghetto skatepark and found a big bouncy fence to ride and footplant off of.

had wicked fun at diablo freeride park at mountain creek resort (n. jersey) 2 weeks ago. i could ride there forever, super fast and jumpy, steep and tech, so many different kinds of trails going on there. can’t wait until next season. i will be a regular. here’s me on the lower dominion tabletops:

kristy took her first turn at the controls of the GS last weekend. we were out tooling around backroads near Purcellville and found a deserted stretch of country road. she did very well and i was damn proud. lesson 2: shifting to 2nd!
