spent a few hours at the international motorcycle show on saturday. quite a good time, great showing from all the manufacturers. i’ve been torn ‘tween the V-Strom and the SV … after spending some time drooling over both, i really think my heart’s more in the SV… i still want a sportbike, i’m not ready for the adventure bike crew yet.

dammit, i miss the dakar rally every year. i’m going home tonite and telling tivo to record everything with the word dakar in it so it won’t happen next year. the sad thing is, i was alerted to the race by this news article: Dakar motorcycle star dies on race

rehabbing ankle. apparently it’s a “High” or syndesmotic ankle sprain. the ligament ‘tween the leg bones. of course it takes the longest to heal. trying to do it right, going to physical therapy 2wice a week. set up the cx bike on the trainer last nite and did some gentle miles, felt good to get the cardio up again.

suffering from severe bike withdrawl. seems whenever i get injured i get an insatiable urge to buy bikes. i need to get a full susp bike ready for my first DH season and my current bike has a cracked rear chainstay. perusing ebay and the classifieds on ridemonkey with a passion.

damn, this thing just keeps getting purtier and purtier. i’m ready to start walking regularly again. anytime now would be nice.

dinner at ryan & huyen’s last night. as usual, they wowed us with an exotic feast. we found out how little we all know about tunisia. kristy owned us all as a railroad baroness. garden state might just be the best movie i’ve seen all year. i mean last year. you know what i mean.
