mystery pirate shirt giver, who are you?? some clever soul left this little trap for me yesterday and as i opened my door, it fell on my head. i’ve got some suspicions, but no real clues as to who may have donated this fine piece of bounty. in other pillaging news, we plundered the ship USS Circuit City and i ended up with this newfangled contraption: Canon PowerShot A510. i’m not sure what it does, but it is a powerful weapon indeed.

I cannot hide my distaste for golf. Yet, I did not force the issue either way. And when he asked once why I never swing at the little white ball, I told him the story of Kenny Roberts taking Eddie Lawson golfing once back in the mid-1980s.

Roberts is an accomplished golfer and thought Lawson would enjoy it. Racer lore has it that Lawson made it to just two holes, when he suddenly looked at Roberts and asked, “Are you out of your mind? Is this some kind of a joke? Are you serious that you do this?!” Lawson then tossed the clubs, and walked back to his car. There’s another version where Lawson throws the clubs into a nearby pond, and that’s the one I laid on the kid.

all good on the homefront. got the basement done, the office moved to the bikeroom (i’m nesting). spackling the old office and getting ready to move the guest bedroom there. old guest bedroom will become the nursery. got that?

after waiting 4 months, i’ve finally gotten my warranty frame back from cortina. only problem is that it’s MY frame. yeah, they just replaced the seatstays, spray-painted the whole thing with matte black grill paint and tossed it back to me. i’m fine with getting my old frame back, but the paint job just ain’t gonna cut it. my old frame was powdercoated. this one’s already flaking off from contact with the cardboard box. calling those slackers tomorrow. grrrr…

May 1 Reboot

egoinc’s been stuck in this format for too long. i think that the current long post format is a bit restrictive for my current lifestyle. short posts will be the future, especially with the lil one on the way. may 1st reboot on the way.
