first race

entered my first DH race last weekend, the Massanutten Yee-Ha. placed 2nd in sport class, and probably should have raced expert (i would have placed 6th), but i had no idea i would do that well. not bad for a guy on a completely clapped out 5″ trailbike. team xxl pretty much cleaned up with nearly half the team podiuming. seemed like there was an XXL jersey up there for every class.

headed up to Diablo for the US Open of Mountain Biking next weekend. 3 days of camping, racing and riding. most likely my last big bike outing for the next year or so…
