Leaving on Sunday for AZ to spend the holidays with the folks. Hoping Ryder’s up for another airplane adventure! We did xmas with the in-laws on wednesday night and he’s in high toy heaven. He’s really funny now that he knows a bit more about what’s going on.

i discovered a crack in the crown of my fork on the DJ bike. as usual, i tried to take the cheap route by finding a fellow with the same fork, but with broken lowers. i was going to merge the 2 to have one functional fork. got his in the mail yesterday and his crown is more cracked than mine is. so now i’ve got a new argyle on order at germantown. hopefully it won’t be hard to get a refund from the guy.

I was saddened to read that J. Robbins’ son Callum was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. As a parent, I definitely take Ryder’s good health for granted. They are faced with a very difficult future. There is a link to donate to them on the DeSoto page above. There is also a recent post from J. on his blog about the matter.

i’ve jumped the Movable Type ship, headed over to WordPress for some lovin’. I’ve been using WP as the news page over at DCStreet for a while and i really dig how flexible and powerful it is. My MT blog was getting decimated with spam and nothing I did changed that, so I dumped it.

so i’ll be turning wrenches over here for the foreseeable future. stay tuned!
